This album contains the elusive session that was known as the 'Marc Bolan & T.Rex Rock'n'Roll Ensemble'. Permission was given to Danielz & Caron Willans to release this by Bolan's catalogue management, Spirit Music Ltd, USA as it had never been heard in this untampered form before. It is an amazing insight to Marc's love of 1950s rock'n'roll. The session begins without the prior knowledge of the engineer who appears to flick the record switch instinctively part of the way through Little Richard's 'Rip It Up'. This recording is a fantastic and unique look into how Marc worked in the studio and his state of mind in that hazy period of 1974.

There are 2 versions included here - first, an edited version of what can be listened to as a combined selection of tracks, the second is the unedited version which includes a 'warts and all' in the studio with Marc and the gang that include false starts and inbetween chat.

Track 3 'Woke Up This Morning' (Nov 1976) is a bonus cut that was supposedly written as an idea from Marc to intercut between tracks on the 'Dandy In The Underworld' album - this has never been previously heard.

Track 4 'Marc & Tony Visconti Impersonating Bob Dylan' (Oct 1973) - an amazing cut which features both Marc and Tony having fun in the studio - again, never previously released until inclusion on this album
